Washington State Wine Commission App

To engage taste influencers across the country, the Washington State Wine Commission launched a campaign centered around a custom iPad app filled with curated content, including articles, guides, and videos featuring “The Recommendeur” a character developed to bring personality and entertainment to wine education. The experience was designed to immerse users in the world of Washington wines while creating a memorable, shareable brand moment.


As a supporting designer, I contributed to shaping the app’s visual experience by helping shape interface design ideas and creating the graphic assets and photo manipulations used throughout. I also designed the instructional insert included with each iPad, along with the full set of in-app documents and resources, ensuring a cohesive visual language across both digital and physical touchpoints. In addition, I supported the development of print and advertising materials that extended the campaign beyond the app.


The campaign generated strong industry buzz, contributed to increased wine sales, and was featured in Adweek.
