Primary Periodic Paralysis Websites

Primary Periodic Paralysis is a rare and often misunderstood condition, requiring clear, accessible communication for both medical professionals and patients. I led the concept and design of two connected, responsive websites, each tailored to a distinct audience while working together as a cohesive educational experience.

The healthcare provider site was designed to convey the seriousness and clinical urgency of the disorder, using bold, structured visuals to support diagnosis and treatment awareness. In contrast, the patient-facing site took on a more welcoming and supportive tone, emphasizing that there are ways to manage the condition and that patients are not alone. Across both experiences, I developed the visual direction, created the interface designs, and ensured accessibility through WCAG-compliant color and typography systems.

The result was a dual-site experience that balanced authority and empathy, helping providers better understand the condition while offering patients clarity, reassurance, and actionable guidance.
